HomeGlow SD — San Diego Christmas Light Installation
Last Updated: October 9, 2026
HomeGlow SD installs, maintains, takes down, and stores holiday lighting for homes and businesses across San Diego County. To do that, we need to collect a small amount of information from you — mainly so we can send you a quote, schedule your installation, and stay in touch about your service.
This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, call or email us and we'll walk you through it.
Who We Are
HomeGlow SD is the brand name for San Diego Christmas Light Installation (EIN 39-4580500), a holiday lighting installation company based in Santee, California.
In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean HomeGlow SD. "You" means anyone who contacts us, requests a quote, or books an installation with us.
Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to quote your project and do the work.
- Name — so we know who we're talking to.
- Phone number — so we can text or call you about your quote and appointment.
- Email address — so we can send written quotes, confirmations, and receipts.
- Service address — the home or business where the lights will be installed.
- Project details you share with us — things like roof type, number of trees, height of the house, or your preferred installation dates.
- A basic record of how you reached us — for example, that you came in through a Facebook or Instagram lead generation form.
Where this information comes from. Almost all of it comes directly from you. You give it to us when you submit a Facebook or Instagram lead generation form, call or text us, email us, or fill out a form on homeglowsd.com. We don't buy contact lists, and we don't collect information about you from data brokers.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to run your project and keep you informed. Specifically, we use it to:
- Prepare and send you a quote for holiday lighting installation.
- Confirm appointments and schedule your installation.
- Coordinate installation, mid-season maintenance, takedown, and storage visits.
- Send service follow-ups — reminders before your install date, weather or crew updates, and a check-in after your lights are up.
- Answer your questions and provide customer support.
- Keep records of the work we performed at your property.
- Meet our legal, tax, and insurance obligations.
We contact you by phone, SMS text message, and email — whichever you gave us and whichever you asked us to use.
SMS Communications & Consent
This section explains our text messaging program. Please read it carefully.
How you opt in. You opt in to receive SMS text messages from HomeGlow SD by submitting a Facebook or Instagram lead generation form. When you submit that form, you provide your phone number and agree to receive SMS messages from us about your quote, your appointment, and your installation. We may also send a confirmation text when we first reach out, so you know the messages are coming from us. [1]
What we text you about. Quote follow-ups, appointment confirmations, scheduling, reminders, weather or crew updates, and post-installation follow-ups. We do not send unrelated marketing texts unless you have separately agreed to receive them.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies. Most customers receive a handful of messages around their quote and installation, plus occasional updates during the season, depending on the work scheduled at their property.
Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply to every message you send and receive as part of this program.
How to opt out. Reply STOP to any message from us to unsubscribe at any time. After you reply STOP, we will send one final message confirming that you've been unsubscribed, and then we will stop sending SMS messages to that number. You can still reach us by phone or email. [3]
How to get help. Reply HELP to any message for help, or contact us directly at hunter@homeglowsd.com or (619) 820-0793.
Carrier disclaimer. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your mobile carrier and network conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. You are not required to agree to receive text messages in order to get a quote or buy our services. If you'd rather not receive texts, tell us and we'll communicate by phone or email instead.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it with advertising networks.
We share information only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need to do their job:
- Twilio, the platform we use to deliver SMS messages on our behalf. [1]
- Email, scheduling, and customer record tools we use to send quotes and appointment confirmations.
- Payment processors, if you choose to pay by card.
- Our own crew members and trusted subcontractors, who need your service address to perform the work.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or when we need to protect our rights, safety, or property.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your contact details and project records for as long as you're an active customer, and for a reasonable period afterward — generally no longer than three years after your last service with us. We keep records that long so we can honor any warranty, look up past work at your property, and meet our tax and insurance requirements.
When we no longer need your information, we delete it or remove the details that identify you. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so, unless we're required by law to keep it.
Your Rights & Choices
You're in control of your information. Here's what you can do:
- Stop text messages. Reply STOP to any message from us at any time. That's all it takes. [3]
- Stop emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or just email us and ask.
- Ask what we have. Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct it. Ask us to fix anything that's wrong or out of date.
- Delete it. Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to the legal recordkeeping limits described above.
- Ask a question. Contact us any time and we'll explain how your information is being used.
California residents. If you live in California, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. [2]
To make a request, email hunter@homeglowsd.com or call (619) 820-0793. We may ask you to verify your identity — usually by confirming the phone number or email address you gave us — before we act. We respond to verified requests within the timeframe California law requires.
Keeping Your Information Safe
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information you give us, and we limit access to it to the people who need it to do their jobs. That said, no method of storing or transmitting information is completely secure, so we can't promise absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the "Last Updated" date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll make that clear on the page so you can review it.
